D&W U18s Match Cancelled

Please note that the D&W RFU U18s match against Devon scheduled for Sunday 16 October has been cancelled.  Devon was unable to field a team.

D&W U18 2015 Trials

Please ensure that all nominated players have completed the necessary forms ­ copies are attached or can will be sent upon request from Mike Sams by email on samsie1@talktalk.net  These will need to be completed and handed in on the day ­ Please do not email these back!
 

PLAYERS WILL NEED TO COMPLETE TWO COPIES OF THE PLAYERS HEALTH PROFILE - PLAYERS WHO DO NOT COMPLETE THESE FORMS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRIAL ON THE DAY. WE ONLY REQUIRE ONE COPY OF PLAYERS CONTACT DETAILS.
 

Players will need to bring refreshments and plenty of water. It is recommended that a change of clothes is also brought, particularly if the weather is bad.
 

Physio cover will be provided on the day but will not be providing tape to players. Players requested to provide their own taping.
 

We are grateful to Bryanston School for providing us with such excellent facilities ­ please show respect at all times and ensure that all litter and belongings are taken home with you and that all cars are parked appropriately. The postcode is below for those using a sat nav to find the way.
 

PARENTS

Inevitably there are going to be disappointments. The Assessors & Coaches are all very well qualified and experienced enough to make their selection- please respect this. If any of your lads did not make selection, they will be given some feedback from the Assessors of why, along with some tips of what areas to work on. Some players will be initially selected, but may not get as much game time as they would like - again, this is the Coaches decision. Players will be developed in the areas that the Coaches feel is necessary to improve their individual rugby skills and make the Squad stronger moving forward.

Dorset & Wilts Under 18's County Trials

A D&W County trial is being held on Sunday 21st September 2014 at Sherborne School.
The trials will be at 10.00am – 12.30pm. The coaches will then make their selection for the squad before lunch. Those players will then be invited to remain for the afternoons training. The players who are not selected will receive feedback on why and also given areas of their game that the Coaches feel requires development.
After lunch there will be training for the selected squad with the full Coaching Team (Approx) 13.15pm – 16.00pm.
Please ensure that all players bring refreshments, lunch and plenty of water.
Any Club/school coaches who wish to nominate players should contact Mike Sams (Manager) on samsie1@talktalk.net along with a Player Profile stating Name, DOB, Playing Position (along with 2nd and 3rd choice),school/college/club and background. The player will then be invited once the coaches have considered the nominees and selection availability.
